BOMACO was set up in 1946.
At the start, the company imported logs only from Zaire, formerly Belgian-Congo. Progressively the supply sources were extended. First of all to the whole West-African coast, then to the East-African coast. Afterwards to South-East Asia. Australia, South-America and the United States of America.
Outside Belgium, export markets are whole Europe, including the eastern countries, as well as North-Africa, Middle- and Far-East, SouthAfrica.
The annual turnover was regulars, growing and exceeds one billion B.F
(ab. 30.000.000 US $).
Trade remains the exclusive vocation, only in tropical and north - american hardwoods.
Four departments are in activitiy: Sawn timber - Logs - Peeled veneer Plywood.
Specialization, reliability and dynamism turn out that BOMACO is one of the most important european companies in the hardwood sector
